The Ministry of Finance (MoF) borrowed 640 million RON from banks on Monday, through an issue of benchmark state bonds, with a residual maturity of 34 months, at an average yield of 7.31% per year, according to data published by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The nominal value of Monday's issue was 400 million RON, and banks subscribed 775 million RON, agerpres reports.

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) planned, in June 2025, loans from commercial banks worth 5.1 billion RON, to which an amount of 705 million RON can be added through additional sessions of non-competitive offers, related to bond auctions.

The total amount, of 5.805 billion RON, is 255 million RON less than the one that was scheduled in May of this year, of 6.06 billion RON, and will be intended for refinancing public debt and financing the state budget deficit.
