A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Sport of Romania was signed on Tuesday in Bucharest by the ministers of the two countries at a joint meeting of the Romanian and Polish governments.
According to the spokesperson of the Romanian Executive, Dan Carbunaru, the Memorandum encourages national federations and training centres, addresses research and development in the field of sport and promotes the exchange of experts, coaches and athletes in various sports, as well as supporting the participation of athletes, coaches or technical staff in events organised in the two countries, told Agerpres.
To these are added exchanges of information and experts in sports for people with disabilities, sports medicine, sustainable development and anti-doping measures.
A Declaration of Cooperation in the field of civil protection was also signed on Tuesday between the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs, through the Department for Emergency Situations, and the State Fire Service of Poland.
