Musicians from six countries are participating in this year's edition of the Miercurea-Ciuc International Jazz Festival, which will take place between July 25-28, the organizers announced on Monday.

The main organizer of the festival, Szilágyi Nóra, told a press conference that this year the program will be more varied compared to previous editions, offering more novelties and "musical delicacies", which will increase the quality of the event.

She emphasized that, in addition to the musical concerts covering several genres of jazz, the festival includes numerous children's programs, literary programs and workshops, in which stars from Romania, Hungary and other countries will participate, as well as the usual jam sessions.

The mayor of Miercurea-Ciuc, Korodi Attila, declared that the jazz festival is "a treasure of the cultural life of the city", which enriches the cultural offer and community life of the area.

Szilágyi Nóra presented the program of the festival and the invited artists, stating that in addition to musicians from Romania, artists from Norway, Sweden, Spain, France and Hungary will take the stage, "international stars and popular bands, covering many genres of jazz".

She mentioned that an older desire, that of connecting music and literature, will be realized this year through several events.

As in previous years, the concerts will take place at Mikó Citadel, but also at several cafes in the city.

The detailed program of the festival, as well as all the information related to the event, can be found on the website https://www.jazzfestival.ro, but also on the Csíki Jazz Facebook page.
