The Orchestra of the Bucharest National Opera will perform on March 27 at the 'Maria Biesu' National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Chisinau, on the occasion of the Day of the Union of Bessarabia with Romania.
According to a press release from the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, alongside the Bucharest National Opera Orchestra conducted by Daniel Jinga, internationally renowned artists Valentina Nafornita, Alexandru Tomescu, Damian Draghici and Ana Cebotari will perform on the occasion, with the special participation of the Academic Choral Chapel 'Doina' of the 'Serghei Lunchevici' National Philharmonic in Chisinau, conducted by Ilona Stepan.
The event, which commemorates the historic moment of the Union of Bessarabia with Romania in 1918, is organised by the Romanian Cultural Institute, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova.
The anniversary concert dedicated dedicated to March 27 continues a series of cultural initiatives carried out in partnership by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Cultural Institute, such as supporting European tours of artists from the Republic of Moldova or the extraordinary concert of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) organised in the Republic of Moldova on Europe Day.
