We have set out specific points of cooperation to strengthen security in the Black Sea region. Ukraine will receive the Patriot system and support for our defense industry from Romania. Additionally, Romania, along with our partners, will assist the F-16 training center for Ukrainian pilots. I'm grateful for every expression of solidarity with our country and people,'' Zelenskyy wrote on X.

In his turn, President Iohannis posted on the same social media that ''together with President Zelenskyy I signed today in Washington, a bilateral agreement on security cooperation.''

''We are joining other allies and partners, by following-up on the commitment we took through the G7 Declaration in Vilnius,'' Iohannis also mentioned.

''Romania has been a strong supporter of Ukraine we will firmly continue on this path, so that Ukraine can defend itself, win this war, achieve just peace & move towards recovery, economic stability and resilience, as well as EU & NATO integration, to the benefit of all its citizens,'' Iohannis also wrote on X.
