Medieval parades, knight camps, combat demonstrations and live concerts are just a few of the events that will take place at the Neamt Fortress Days, an event that will take place between July 11 and 13, in Târgu Neamţ.

"This year's edition, the 24th, has the theme "The Call of the Fortress - history and legends" and brings a complete show to the public: knightly camps, combat demonstrations, archery, medieval parades, children's games and history lessons in their most vivid form," declared the president of the Neamt County Council, Daniel Vasilica Harpa.

Ladies and knights will parade in procession, cannon salutes will resound, and the evenings will end with fire shows and live concerts with Trei Parale, Lupii lui Calancea and Valentin Uzun & Orchestra Tharmis.

The Neamt Fortress Museum will organize on Saturday, July 12, the opening of the photo-documentary exhibition "Ladies of Moldova", within which the outstanding female personalities of the medieval period will be valorized and promoted, represented by the consorts of the voivodes and lords, who had a special role in the cultural, spiritual and social development of the state.

"I gladly invite you to take part in this celebration of our identity! Let us rediscover together the beauty of traditions, the charm of legends and the courage of those who wrote the history of these places," said Daniel Vasilica Harpa.

The Neamt Fortress Days are organized by the Neamt County Council, the Targu Neamt City Hall, the "Ion Creanga" House of Culture in Targu Neamt and the Neamt National Museum Complex.
