Preventing educational bullying, inclusion and support for neurodivergent children will be discussed at the "Neuroatypical Caravan", a project taking place between May 11 and 24, in Iasi, as part of the Romanian Creative Week (RCW) 2026.

According to the organizers, during the event, the "Neuroatypical Caravan" will function, for six days during RCW, as an information and support point for parents who have children diagnosed with autism or who are being evaluated for suspected ADHD.

"Within this space, participants will be able to benefit from specialized counseling and guidance from Dr. Crina Nedelcu, a specialist with experience in the assessment and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders. Crina Nedelcu also coordinated the team that translated and adapted ADOS-2 in Romania. The information point is also open to teachers who have children with special educational needs in their class and who need guidance, support and adapted intervention strategies in the school environment," mentions a press release from the organizers.

The event will feature the "Neuroatypical Talks" conference, on May 18, at 2:00 PM, organized in the Henri Coanda Hall, Palace of Culture in Iasi, with a workshop dedicated to teachers on the topic: "How can teachers stop and manage bullying in the school environment?" The conference is developed by the Neuroatypical Foundation, in partnership with the School Safety Directorate of the Romanian Police.

The workshop aims to provide teachers with practical tools for preventing and intervening in bullying situations, as well as good practices for building a safe and inclusive school climate.

Interested parties can follow the activity and official announcements on the Neuroatypical Foundation's Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The conference aims to bring to the forefront concrete solutions for preventing and managing bullying in schools and for building a safer and more inclusive educational environment for neurodivergent children. Through this project, the organizers aim to raise awareness of neurodiversity and encourage collaboration between teachers, parents, authorities and the community.
