New orders in the manufacturing industry increased by almost 20%, in the first nine months of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the data published on Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
According to official statistics, between January 1 and September 30, 2022, increases were recorded in the intermediate goods industry (+23.1%), the durable goods industry (+21.1%), the consumer goods industry (+ 18.6%) and in the capital goods industry (+17.1%), told Agerpres.
New orders in the manufacturing industry increased in nominal terms, overall, by 22.9% in September 2022, compared to the same month in 2021, due to activity in the capital goods industry (+30.4%), the durable goods industry (+24.7%), the current goods industry (+14.8%) and the intermediate goods industry (+13%).
Also, compared to August 2022, in September the number of new orders in the manufacturing industry increased by 24%, as a result of the increases recorded in the capital goods industry (+35.2%), the durable goods industry (+29.9%), the consumer goods industry (+17.1%) and the intermediate goods industry (+9%).
