Romania's CFR Calatori national railway passenger corporation in cooperation with MAV Start (the National Railway Company of Hungary) and OBB (the Austrian Federal Railways) have decided to introduce a new train on the Cluj Napoca - Budapest - Vienna Hbf route and back, starting with the 2018-2019 railway timetable.
"The IR 144 and IR 143 trains on the Cluj Napoca - Budapest - Vienna Hbf and back, don't belong to a single operator, being made up of the CFR Calatori and MAV Start. The traction of the trains on the three states' territory - Romania, Hungary and Austria - is to be ensured by the national operator of each state," specifies CFR Calatori in a release sent to AGERPRES.
The IR 144 and IR 143 trains will travel daily, according to the following schedules: Cluj-Napoca (07:35) - Budapest (14:20/14:40) - Vienna (17:21) and Vienna (10:42) - Budapest (13:19/13:40) - Cluj-Napoca (22:25).
