President Nicusor Dan referred, on Saturday, to the situation in which Deputy Prime Minister Dragos Anastasiu finds himself, pointing out that this is "a big problem", Agerpres reports.
"It's a big problem, it's a big problem. That's it," he commented.
The head of state said that he did not discuss this subject with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
Reports appeared in the press that Dragos Anastasiu, as a businessman, was a witness in the corruption case of former ANAF inspector Angela Burlacu, and allegedly admitted that he signed a fictitious contract through which bribe payments to the ANAF official were masked.
Anastasiu said on Friday that in the corruption case involving ANAF officials he had "no legal advantage", but was only a witness, emphasizing that he accepted the position he currently holds because he does not want "other Romanian entrepreneurs to be subject to such abuse of power by state employees".
President Nicusor Dan is on an official visit to Austria with his family.
