The number of employees in Bucharest at the end of December 2025 was standing at 1,109,227, down 3,817 (minus 0.35%) on a monthly basis, according to data with the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Year-on-year, the workforce increased by 1.08% (plus 11,851), agerpres reports.
The average gross salary at the end of December 2025, was standing at RON12,927 (RON 12,040 in December 2024), and the net one at RON 7,744 (RON 7,307 lei in the same month of the previous year).
On the other hand, there were 6,204 unemployed in Bucharest (down 28.7% year-on-year) at the end of 2025, with the unemployment rate at 0.5% (0.7% in December 2024).
