Romania's national heroes who 98 years ago achieved a unification of all Romanians will be remembered on December 1, Romania's National Holiday, at the Christian Orthodox churches and monasteries in Romania and abroad, as well as the chapels of Christian Orthodox theological schools by special church services, including hymns of praise.
The Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate says a National Day Te Deum service will be held at the Patriarchy Cathedral at noon, after the regular church service. At 08:00hrs in Bucharest, Romania's heroes who fought for the defence of the country, faith, freedom, national unity and dignity will be remembered in a church service at the Tomb of Unknown Warrior in Carol Park.
