Approximately 100 children of Ukrainian refugees temporarily settled in Arad have joined schools in the county and started classes on Wednesday morning, part of them receiving tablets from the County School Inspectorate (ISJ) because they expressed their desire to learn at their accommodation spot, connected to a government platform made available by their country.
The head of ISJ Arad, Marius Gondor, stated on Wednesday, for AGERPRES, that most requests for Ukrainian children to register to schools were recorded on Friday, namely 63, while on Tuesday a further 40 were submitted.
"We distributed all of them to educational units in Arad City and in the city of Ineu. Most are children of employees who've been relocated by companies from Ukraine here, in Arad. Some of the refugees' children expressed their desire to participate in the online lessons made available by the Ukrainian government, and we made available tablets so they can access the learning platform from their country," said Marius Gondor.
Of the students, 63 were distributed to schools in Arad City and 40 in the city of Ineu. The pupils are all gymnasium and high-school level.
