Former prime minister, former European agriculture Commissioner Dacian Ciolos signed on Tuesday the membership application for the Liberty, Unity and Solidarity Party (PLUS), announcing that so far 11,734 such applications have been filed.
Ciolos told a press conference that the country's first National Convention will be held at the end of January, an occasion for the political program to be adopted and a list of candidates for the European Parliament elections to be launched.
On Saturday, Dacian Ciolos announced in Cluj-Napoca that he and his supporters had registered a new political party - the Liberty, Unity, Solidarity Party (PLUS), which will replace the Romania Together Movement.
