The Standing Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday a request from the National Transplant Agency to illuminate the Palace of Parliament in green on October 9 to mark the European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, a proposal endorsed by the Committee on Health and Family.
According to the document approved by the Chamber's leadership, the National Transplant Agency has launched a public awareness and information campaign on organ donation, which includes this initiative.
"On the occasion of European Organ Donation and Transplant Day, the National Transplant Agency requests support for Romania to mark the event by illuminating the Palace of Parliament in green on October 9, 2025, between 18:30 and 24:00," the request reads.
