AGERPRES special correspondent, Adrian Tone, reports: Romanian rower Mihai Chiruta declared that it was "fun" after he qualified, on Tuesday, in the semifinals of the men's singles event at the Olympic Games in Paris.
''It was very good, it was fun, I could say, because it's a joy to be able to compete in such close races, with such good athletes. I was in my element, I'm living my dream, so it's a joy for me. Now I'm full of adrenaline, I feel very good and according to our training plan, after the next race I'll be even better,'' said Chiruta, at his first edition of the Olympic Games.
"Everyone gave everything in these races, it's not like in qualifying. It's important to compete against the best, because I have time to get to know them better. It helps me a lot to catch their strategy and beat them next time," Mihai Chiruta said.
