Romanian judoka Alex Cret on Wednesday qualified for the round of 16 of the men's 90 kg event at the Paris Olympics, after defeating Hungarian Krisztian Toth by ippon.
Cret, the only representative of Romania in the Olympic judo competition, got a golden score against the Tokyo 2021 bronze medallist.
Alex Cret, an Olympic debutant, will face the Brazilian Rafael Macedo in the round of 16, also on Wednesday, who won against Dutchman Noel van't End, a former world champion
