The sitting of Parliament debating the drafts of the 2019 state budget law and the 2019 state social security law started.
The Joint Standing Bureau established to carry out general debates in the sitting on Wednesday until 20:00hrs, whereas the articles and annexes will debated on Thursday. The final vote is scheduled on Friday.
In the general debates, the Government has 50 minutes allocated and the parliamentary groups have 78 minutes, namely 10 seconds for each MP. Thus, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) has 35 minutes, the National Liberal Party (PNL) - 16 minutes, the Save Romania Union (USR) - 7 minutes, Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) - 5 minutes, the People's Movement Party (PMP) - 2 minutes, national minorities - 3 minutes, and non-affiliates 5 minutes.
The finance-budget committees issued a favorable report regarding the draft state budget law on 2019, with 21 "in favour" and 11 "against."
The committees' report contains 69 amendments admitted to the state budget draft and over 3,400 rejected amendments.
