TAROM will grant compensations to the passengers of Amsterdam-Bucharest flight, and the head of the company's office in Amsterdam will be dismissed, after 100 passengers were left on Saturday evening on the Schipol airport, because the aircraft that was due out broke down, aviation sources told AGERPRES on Sunday.

"TAROM will observe the legislation and will grant compensations to the passengers affected on the Amsterdam flight. The new director general [Wolff Werner-Wilhelm] asked for the passenger list in order to personally contact them, but he hasn't received it yet. Today, he decided to call back the head of the Amsterdam TAROM office," the sources said.

At the same time, a task force was set up at TAROM for the Amsterdam-Bucharest flight.

Almost 120 persons who were going to leave Amsterdam to Bucharest on Saturday evening aboard a TAROM flight remained on the Schipol airport because of an aircraft malfunction.
