Passengers who opted for a HiSky flight on December 1 were welcomed on board the aircraft by flight attendants in Romanian national costumes and with locally produced wine, informs a press release sent by the airline to AGERPRES on Sunday.
"When we launched this company, we set out not only to increase the offer and quality of air services that Romanians have to travel abroad, but also to encourage people to discover Romania. We have connected the country with Europe, from every historical region, and we have created accessible air links between the most important cities and the capital. This was our way of encouraging Romanians and foreign nationals to reach as many as possible of the places that make Romania unique. On Great Union Day, we wanted a small part of the festive spirit that we all feel today to accompany our passengers. We know that for many Romanians these days are, every year, a mini-vacation and we are grateful to them for choosing HiSky flights in such a large number. We are convinced that this small celebration that we took at high altitudes to show them, once again, that they can enjoy the best services offered by a Romanian company," said Iulian Scorpan, CEO of HiSky, in the press release.
This year, on Romania's National Day, passengers who opted for a HiSky flight have enjoyed a surprise on board. The airline chose to take the December 1 holiday to all corners of Europe, and the flight attendants wore national costumes, while each passenger was welcomed on board with locally produced wine.
The HiSky company was launched in 2021, and from 2023 it became the second largest Romanian airline, according to the number of passengers transported. The air operator occupies the fourth place in the top of the largest operators on the Romanian airports, after the national airline and the two most important low cost operators.
In 2024, HiSky carried 1.9 million passengers, 64% of them from Bucharest and national airports.
