A pediatric hospital will be built from scratch in Targoviste, in the central area of the city, the project being submitted for financing, the president of the Dambovita County Council (CJ) Corneliu Stefan told a Monday's press conference.
The new hospital will be within the structure of the Targoviste County Hospital, under the administration of the CJ.
The construction will be carried out on the site of the former Infectious Diseases Department, whose building is in an advanced stage of degradation, is currently not used and is to be demolished.
Stefan also spoke about attracting doctors to the County Hospital.
"A very good thing that I have achieved together with my colleagues from the County Hospital - in 5 years we have brought to Targoviste 54 new doctors. I believe that human resources are particularly important for the County Hospital, the figure is way much higher than the hirings in the last 30 years", Corneliu Stefan also said according to Agerpres.
He recalled the investments made at the County Hospital: the new building of the Specialty Outpatient Clinic - completed, an investment of 19 million lei; the new Cardiology Department - completed and equipped with a modern angiograph, the investment value being 20 million lei. Also, the construction of a multi-storey car park in the hospital yard, with a value of 56.7 million lei, is in the tender procedure.
At the same time, the County Hospital benefited from important equipment, such as a digital mammogram (750,000 lei), a state-of-the-art MRI machine (5,500,000 lei), modern toxicology equipment (1,500,000 lei); a digital radiography system, a videobronchoscope, CT and gastroenterological equipment (4,500,000 lei) and a 4K laparoscopic surgery kit (968,000 lei).
The Dambovita County Council is carrying out investments in the construction and modernization of 15 new dispensaries, with a total value of 43 million lei, through the County Local Development Program.
