Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, will host a ceremony on Wednesday at the Pelisor Castle in Sinaia in order to mark the 160th anniversary of King Ferdinand I's birth and the 150th anniversary of Queen Marie's birth.
According to a Romanian Royal House release on Monday, the event will take place from 15:00 in the castle's Hall of Honour.
The ceremony will be attended by Her Majesty Margareta, His Royal Highness Prince Radu, Her Royal Highness Princess Elena and Her Royal Highness Princess Sophie. The event will also be attended by representatives of the Romanian Government, the Romanian Army, the diplomatic corps, religious communities and prominent figures from civil society.
Later, at 16:00, a royal investiture ceremony will take place in the Hall of Honour of the Peles Castle, according to Agerpres.
Eight royal scholarships will be awarded this year at the Technical University of the Republic of Moldova, the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, the Moldova State University and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
Her Majesty Margareta will also grant the High Patronage of the Palace of Culture in Iasi (the National Museum Complex "Moldova"), as well as a series of royal orders and decorations to notable individuals and institutions in Romania.
Joining Her Majesty will be His Royal Highness Prince Radu, Her Royal Highness Princess Elena and Her Royal Highness Princess Sophie.
