A fire broke out on Friday morning on the Oltchim platform in sounthern Ramnicu Valcea, where plastic waste is burning.
"Military firefighters intervene at this time to extinguish a fire that broke out on the Oltchim platform, where plastic waste is burning," the Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) Valcea informs.
Three water and foam extinguishing vehicles, a tank container and a CBRN vehicle were assigned to the scene.
Approximately 700 square meters are burning, and work is currently underway to locate and extinguish the fire.
No victims reported so far.
