A long-term peace cannot be conceived without Ukraine and the European Union member states agreeing to the proposed solutions, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said on Thursday.
He made the remarks at a joint press conference with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, in response to a question about Europe's contribution to the situation in Ukraine and security in the Western Balkans.
"A long-term peace cannot be conceived without Ukraine and without the EU member states agreeing to the proposed solutions and supporting them, so that we do not end up merely with a ceasefire, but reach solutions that can ensure peace in Eastern Europe. What is happening in Ukraine affects us all, and this is why the participation of European countries in finding a solution is essential to achieving outcomes that can truly be successful," Ilie Bolojan affirmed.
