Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan met on Tuesday at the Victoria Palace with the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa'ar, who is on an official visit to Bucharest.
According to a Government release, the two officials discussed the excellent stage of bilateral relations and concrete ways to strengthen cooperation between Romania and Israel, particularly in infrastructure, transport, defense industry, agriculture, cybersecurity and information technology.
The Prime Minister also addressed trade exchanges between the two countries, mentioning Romania's intention to expand economic and industrial collaboration.
Moreover, the two high officials discussed the significant role of the Jewish community in Romania and the Romanian community in Israel in strengthening the relations between the two states.
Ilie Bolojan reiterated the Government's commitment to combating antisemitism, intolerance and hate speech, bringing to mind the measures adopted in this regard at the national level.
According to the quoted source, the regional security situation was also an important point on the agenda of the meeting. The Prime Minister welcomed the conclusions of the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit, which followed the ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages.
