Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Tuesday that reports about drones that may have fallen on Romanian territory are not confirmed.

"At this time, this information is not confirmed. I have the information from the minister of Defense. At this moment, this information is not confirmed," Ciolacu said in a statement to the press, agerpres reports.

Romania's territory was not hit by Russian drones in the overnight airstrike on a Ukrainian port on the other side of the Danube, Romanian Foreign minister Luminita Odobescu said on Monday in Berlin.

"Obviously, there is a risk, because what happened there is very close to our borders," Odobescu told reporters on the sidelines of her visit to Berlin.

Ukrainian Foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Monday that his country had photographic evidence showing that Russian drones hit Romanian territory during a drone attack on infrastructure in a Ukrainian port on the Danube.
