Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca announced on Wednesday that Romania was assessing the possibility of opening new border crossing points with Ukraine.
"We have discussed the demarches that our country is making so we can continue to ensure all these border crossing facilities in the future. Together with Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu, we have assessed the possibility of opening other new border crossing points. This is under analysis and we'll get back as soon as possible and confirm withe the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Ukraine the decisions to be taken," Ciuca told a press conference at the Victoria Palace, Agerpres.ro informs.
He underscored the importance of opening in 2020 the Isaccea-Orlivka border crossing point and liberalising the freight transport for Ukrainian operators on April 5.
