Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, who is on a working visit to Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday, has meetings scheduled with European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, with members of the College of Commissioners and Secretary General of the EU Council Jeppe Tranhlom-Mikkelsen, the Government informs through a press release issued to AGERPRES.
Viorica Dancila and Cabinet members are on a working visit to Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday to attend the joint meeting of the Romanian Government and the European Commission.
The Prime Minister's agenda will also include debates on the priorities and agenda of the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council, the future of the Union and exchanges of views between the members of the Government and those of the College of Commissioners on issues related to the Multiannual Financial Framework, migration, Brexit, Single Market and foreign relations.
On Tuesday, the Romanian prime minister will attend the conference "Cores and Peripheries in Europe? A Europe NEXT Project", organized by the Aspen Institute. There will also be a meeting of the governmental delegation with the Romanian MEPs.
The meeting of the College of Commissioners with the Government of the member state that is to hold the presidency of the Council of the European Union is traditionally organized before the beginning of the mandate. The objective of the meeting is to prepare the next presidency and discuss its priorities.
