Premier Viorica Dancila says that promoting the values and fundamental rights of people with disabilities is a priority of the Romanian Government and her own.
"December 3 is the day when we celebrate, at world level, people with disabilities, courageous and determined people, to whom we owe respect for their important role in the community, and because they show us day by day that any obstacle can be overcome. Deeply understanding their special needs, ensuring a dignified, independent life, by guaranteeing equal opportunities for education, health and work, stand for proof of a united and inclusive society. Therefore, promoting the values and fundamental rights of people with disabilities is a priority for Romania's Government and for myself, " Dancila specifies on Monday, in a message delivered on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities.
The prime minister stresses that she will not cease to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities to be respected.
"Thank you for the example of courage that you incessantly give us! I will not cease to advocate that your rights, ensuring equal opportunities to those of any other citizen, should be respected and for society to be one for all, fair and with shared values," Dancila says according to a press release issued by the Government.
