"This year, when we celebrate three decades of IAR 99, a Romanian design project, I want to give the good news. The procedures for the contract between the Ministry of National Defence and Avioane Craiova regarding the upgrading of 20 pieces of IAR 99 airplanes of the Romanian Air Force to the a super standard have been completed," Dancila said on a visit to the Avioane aircraft factory in Craiova.

According to Dancila, this is an important objective for Avioane Craiova and the negotiations begin right this week.
