Prime Minister-designate Sorin Grindeanu in a message on his Facebook page posted on Saturday, expresses hope that the New Year will bring Romanians "peace, progress and better days," making assurances that the next government will take steps to "increase the Romanians' quality of life."
"The year that is about to end was complicated, full of hardships. The country has seen a period full of uncertainties that are beginning to scatter and we all hope that the New Year will bring us peace, progress and better days.
"I assure you that the next government will urgently take the necessary measures to increase the Romanians' quality of life. The confidence you've had in our ruling programme is forcing us, makes us responsible. Thank you, in the name of my colleagues! I wish 2017 brings us all good health, confidence and prosperity! Happy New Year!" wrote Grindeanu.
