Prime Minister Mihai Tudose said on Thursday that following the implementation of the new Pay Law, some "adjustments" will be made so that it will no longer be possible, for example, for a state secretary's adviser to have a higher net salary than a minister's.

"The Pay Law is aimed at bringing normalcy. I give an example: there are advisers of a state secretary who have the net salary higher than a minister's. Yes, it may seem crazy to you, because this aberration has been propagated over time. Some bonuses were added, for working with European funds, they were transferred from I do not know where and today the minister takes 11,000 lei and the adviser of a state secretary takes 12,000 to 13,000 lei. Forgive me, this cannot be. We have decided that an adviser to a dignitary cannot earn more than the president of the country. Yes, the pay of that adviser will be decreased. We assume that. These adjustments must be made," Mihai Tudose told Antena 3.
