"We have the 2 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the defence budget on 2017 we have committed to spend on the Romanian Army's endowment. We observe this commitment, in both our relation with our NATO partners and with the expectations and needs of our military forces," Prime Minister Mihai Tudose said on Wednesday, according to a release by the Executive sent to Agerpres.
Premier Tudose on Wednesday had a working meeting with the National Defence Minister Adrian Tutuianu, Economy Minister, Mihai Fifor and the Army Chief of Staff, general Nicolae Ciuca on the aspects regarding the Romanian Army's endowment. The Premier and the two ministers have also analysed "the Army's endowment needs in relation to the current and future capacity of the Romanian defence industry."
