Romania needs leaders who understand that every administrative decision is, at its core, a moral decision, according to National Liberal Party (PNL) Senator Nicoleta Pauliuc, the head of the Senate's Committee on Defence, Public Order and National Security.
She participated on Monday at the Victoria Palace in the official opening of the "Bucharest Leaders' Summit: A Roadmap to the Future," an event organised by the MediaUno Association.
"The theme of the summit - A Roadmap to the Future - the path to the future is not just a plan on paper, but a transformation of mindset. Romania needs leaders who know that every administrative decision is, ultimately, a moral decision. We need empathetic, competent, predictable leaders, people who can manage without losing their humanity. The future does not belong to the strongest, but to the wisest. Not to those who shout the loudest, but to those who listen best, and not to those who react first, but to those who think for everyone," Nicoleta Pauliuc said.
In this context, she also briefly addressed the significance of the US decision to withdraw some troops from Romania.
"This recalibration does not weaken the partnership with the US, it matures it. It challenges us to be more autonomous, more coherent, more courageous. Yes, Romania needs moral leaders capable of making decisions under pressure, with calm and integrity," Pauliuc added.
