President Nicusor Dan signed on Thursday the decree awarding the Battle Flag to the 164th Naval Forces Special Operations Division, the Presidential Administration said, agerpres reports.
This operational detachment is part of the Special Operations Forces Command - the structure that ensures and generates the specialized, rapid response component at a strategic level, with dedicated land, naval and air structures, trained and equipped to carry out special research missions, direct actions, military and unconventional assistance, as well as complementary missions on the territory of Romania or abroad, under the provisions of the law, independently or together with the special forces of the coalitions and alliances Romania is a part of.
