Romania is firmly committed to continue the fiscal consolidation and addressing the economic imbalances, President Nicusor Dan said on Tuesday.
He welcomed European Commissioner for economy and productivity, implementation and simplification Valdis Dombrovskis at the Cotroceni Palace.
"Romanian authorities will continue the necessary efforts to correct the excessive deficit, as stability and predictability are crucial for our economy. We appreciate the constructive dialogue with the European Commission for identifying solutions to our fiscal challenges," the head of state posted on X platform.
The head of state added that Romania "remains committed to efficiently implementing the revised Plan [the National Recovery and Resilience Plan] by August next year."
