President Nicusor Dan signed into law on Friday the 2026 state budget and the state social security bills.
The Constitutional Court of Romania on Thursday rejected the challenges filed by the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) against the two bills, ruling that they are constitutional.
AUR had asked the Court to block "the entry into force of deeply flawed regulatory acts and to sanction the abuses of a government that legislates against its own citizens."
The two laws were adopted in a joint session of Parliament on March 20.
