Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church voted on Sunday at around 5:30 p.m. in the presidential runoff at the polling station organized at the 'Ienachita Vacarescu' junior secondary school in Bucharest, the Basilica News Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate reports.
As many as 9.6 million people representing 53.39% of the total number of enfranchised voters had cast their ballot in the second round of the presidential election on Sunday, as of 5:30 p.m., shows data provided in real time by the Permanent Electoral Authority. This is more than the final turnout of 9,571,740 (53.21%) of the first presidential round held on May 4.
