The Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, is holding a press conference on Monday at the headquarters of the relevant ministry, during which she will present the results of the control action regarding the rental of beaches in the city of Navodari and the verification of compliance with contractual obligations by beach operators.
According to the Ministry of Environment, Buzoianu will also present the measures taken and the next steps that the institution he leads will take to ensure correct, transparent management and in accordance with the Romanian Beach Law.
The National Administration "Romanian Waters" (ANAR) announced, in mid-May, that 122 offers out of the 187 received were declared valid in the second stage of the public tender procedure for the rental of 77 beach areas, in the summer seasons 2025 - 2034.
In total, in the two stages of the auction, the institution put up for rent 160 beach sub-sectors, with a cumulative area of 133.85 hectares, being assigned 94 sub-sectors, totaling 73.8 hectares. The leased areas are located in the resorts of Navodari, Mamaia, Constanta, Eforie Nord, Eforie Sud, Agigea, Tuzla and Vama Veche and are intended for tourist leisure activities (recreation) or leisure with a sporting function - boats with/without motor.
