Prince Charles was offered paddles by the multiple Olympic champion canoeist Ivan Patzaichin on Thursday, during the visit paid by His Royal Highness to the Village Museum. The event occurred in front of a household from Jurilovca, Tulcea county, dating from 1898.
The Prince of Wales also received from traditional producers present with stands at the Village Museum a jar of acacia honey, a jar of fruit and seeds honey, a wooden box and even a pair of peasant's sandals from some traditional craftsmen. Prince Charles chatted with each of them for a few minutes, inquiring about their crafts.
