Prince Radu will receive on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m., in front of the Elisabeta Palace, on behalf of Her Majesty Margareta, the troops participating in the Invictus Veterans Relay, with the relay stick to be then handed over to the runners.

The Invictus Veterans Relay, now in its 11th edition, is taking place this year between October 4-25, the Royal Palace informs on Wednesday.

The event is organized annually, at the national level, by the Invictus Volunteers Association, with the aim of promoting the heroes of yesterday and today, through sport. The Invictus Volunteer Association is under the High Patronage of Prince Radu.

More than 1,000 Invictus volunteers, civilians and military staff from the entire National Defense System, Public Order and National Security, relay bearers, runners and cyclists, will cover more than 3,500 kilometers, on three routes - blue, yellow and red. The most important moment will take place on Army Day, on October 25, in Carei, where the Invictus Veterans Relay will symbolically present the honor to all the heroes of yesterday and today.

The Invictus volunteers are supported, as every year, by the central and local authorities, including the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On the entire route, the participants will be accompanied by military police crews.
