Over 350 inventions are being presented at the International Exhibition of Scientific Research, Innovation and Invention - PRO INVENT 2025, organised by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, taking place from 15 to 17 October.
Radu Munteanu, Honorary President of the PRO INVENT Exhibition, told AGERPRES that the inventions on display are intended to support the economy.
'First and foremost, this exhibition represents a small piece of history, 22 editions, born out of the desire of people who wanted to understand the future, because you can only truly know the future if you invent it. These individuals have aimed to surpass themselves, striving to create what we call inventions, novel ideas with the potential to serve the economy, as far as possible. Why do I say as far as possible'? Because the issues surrounding technology transfer are complex. In Romania, it is not something we can boast about, as it is difficult and costly, and a profession in itself. Still, these people continue to attend, with an average of 400 participants at each edition,' said Radu Munteanu.
The PRO INVENT Exhibition brings together inventors, researchers and representatives from academia and the business sector, both from Romania and abroad.
As part of the event, a workshop titled 'EU-13 Roadshow: From Innovation to Impact - Knowledge Valorisation and Commercialisation Strategies' will take place on Thursday. Organised by the European IP Helpdesk / European IPR Helpdesk, the session is described by organisers as an excellent opportunity for networking among the academic community, researchers, start-ups and organisations.
