President Klaus Iohannis promulgated, on Tuesday, the law which provides that families or legal representatives who take care of minors or adults with severe handicaps will benefit from exemption from paying the rent of the state-owned housing, informs Agerpres.

In this sense, the normative act modifies article 20 paragraph (4) of Law no. 448/2006 regarding the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.

According to the promulgated law, the family or the legal representative, during the period in which they care for a minor or an adult with a pronounced handicap, will benefit from the exemption from paying the rent for residential areas intended for housing owned by the state or the administrative-territorial units and which are used by these people.
