Several dozen people protested on Wednesday evening outside the Cotroceni Presidential Palace, displaying their dissatisfaction towards President Klaus Iohannis and prosecutor-in-chief of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi.
The protesters blew vuvuzelas and chanted "DNA without the owl," "Iohannis and DNA destroyed Justice," "Down with Kovesi."
Several protesters came with oranges, hinting at former DNA prosecutor Mircea Negulescu, who was nicknamed "Orange."
Deputy of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Plesoianu and former Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) officer Daniel Dragomir have also participated in the protest.
A similar protest took place at the end of last week.
