Prime Minister Viorica Dancila is the new PSD executive chair, the extraordinary Congress of PSD has decided on Saturday.
The extraordinary Congress has validated vice-chairs by development regions:
* North-East Region (counties of Bacau, Botosani, Vaslui, Iasi, Neamt, Suceava): Doina Fedorovici (PSD Botosani) and Gabriel Vlase (PSD Bacau)
* South East Region (Braila, Buzau, Constanta, Galati, Vrancea, Tulcea): Mirela Furtuna (PSD Tulcea) and Marian Oprisan (PSD Vrancea)
* South Region (Arges, Calarasi, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Prahova, Teleorman): Carmen Dan - PSD Teleorman (on the seats allocated to women) and Adrian Tutuianu - PSD Dambovita
* The South-West Region (Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti, Olt, Valcea): Lia Olguţa Vasilescu (PSD Dolj) and Paul Stanescu (PSD Olt)
* West Region (Arad, Caras Severin, Hunedoara, Timis): Natalia Intotero (PSD Hunedoara) and Mihai Fifor (PSD Arad)
* The Northwest Region (Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Cluj, Maramures, Satu Mare, Salaj): Doina Pana (PSD Bistrita-Nasaud) and Gabriel Zetea (PSD Maramures)
* Central Region (Alba, Brasov, Covasna, Harghita, Mures, Sibiu): Roxana Minzatu (PSD Brasov) and Bogdan Trif (PSD Sibiu)
* Bucharest - Ilfov Region: Gabriela Firea (on the places allocated to women) and Robert Negoita - PSD Sector 3 (in the place assigned to men).
There were over 4,000 delegates present at the Congress. Caterina Andronescu and Nicolae Banicioiu withdrew from the race for the position of executive chair. Also, Daniel Florea withdrew his candidacy for the position of vice-chair for the Bucharest-Ilfov Region.
