The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs that it has launched a public selection procedure for the designation of a civil society organization as head of network of the Anna Lindh Foundation in Romania for the period 2026 - 2028, related to the new multiannual programming cycle of the activity of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures (ALF).

According to a press release from the MAE, sent to AGERPRES on Monday evening, ALF was launched in 2005, being an intergovernmental organization that mobilizes networks of civil society organizations, at national level, dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue in the Mediterranean region.

Since 2007 (when Romania became a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation), the role of network leader of the Anna Lindh Foundation Romania has been exercised by the "Mircea Malita" Black Sea University Foundation (FUMN), which was designated for this purpose by the MAE.

The application file will be submitted to the e-mail address alf@mae.ro by January 12, 2026. The selection result will be announced by February 2, 2026.

Participation in the ALF activities offers the opportunity for a broad involvement of members of civil society in Romania in order to support the statutory objectives of the organization, dedicated, mainly, to strengthening cooperation relations in the Euro-Mediterranean space on the social-cultural level, as well as in the field of academic exchanges. In order to popularize specific topics, ALF-Romania organizes various types of activities, conferences and workshops, as well as other specific activities.
