Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete said on Thursday that in the last five weeks, 700 million RON have been paid from the PNRR for the Romanian medical system.
"In just 5 weeks, we managed to pay over 700 million RON through the PNRR. The largest amount in recent years, in such a short time. This money means wards that are being modernized, equipment that reaches where it was expected for years. Specialized outpatient clinics, ICU wards, newborn wards, integrated community centers - all are taking shape!," the minister wrote on Facebook.
He stated that payments will be made at an "accelerated" pace in August as well.
"In August, we continue at the same accelerated pace. We already have payments of over 600 million RON expected. We know what we have to do and we know where we need to get to. And if today we can talk about results, it is because I have a team by my side that has not backed down for a moment. People who stayed overtime, who worked on weekends, who did not accept "it is impossible". People who chose to believe in change," Alexandru Rogobete also said.
