The Presidential Administration announces the organisation of the conference "Romania and the OECD - The Main National Project After NATO, EU and Schengen," under the High Patronage of the President of Romania, at the Cotroceni Palace on Wednesday.
According to the Presidential Administration, this strategically important meeting is organised in partnership with the business environment in Romania and will bring together high-ranking officials, representatives of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), leaders from the private sector, and experts in the field. The discussions will focus on Romania's progress and challenges in the process of joining the OECD, the benefits of this integration, and its impact on the national economy, Agerpress.
Interim President Ilie Bolojan will open the conference, which will start at 11:00 AM, alongside Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann. The event will include thematic discussion sessions on Romania's alignment with OECD standards and the reforms necessary to complete the accession process.
"Accession to the OECD represents a major strategic objective for Romania, strengthening its status as a trusted economic partner internationally. The Presidential Administration supports this endeavor and the reforms necessary for our country to become a full member of the organisation," the quoted source says.
