Romania counts for 34 beds for major burns, Health minister says

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, declared on Tuesday that Romania currently has 34 beds for the major burns, 24 for adults and ten for children, on Tuesday said the Health minister, Alexandru Rafila, at the Bucharest Matei Bals Institute.

"Six beds at the Bucharest Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital, five beds at the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital, five beds at the Sf. Spiridon Iasi County Emergency Clinical Hospital, five beds at the Pius Branzeu County Emergency Clinical Hospital Timisoara, three beds at the Bagdasar-Arseni Emergency Clinical Hospital, 10 beds at the Grigore Alexandrescu Children's Emergency Clinical Hospital Bucharest," said Rafila, agerpres reports.

He added that it was possible to restart the construction of the three major burns centers that were "abandoned" at the Ministry of Health.

According to the minister, the building at the Grigore Alexandrescu Children's Emergency Hospital will have 15 beds for critical patients with intensive therapy, 10 beds for intermediate and post-critical patients and 10 beds for microsurgery and reconstructive surgery.

"We hope that in the year 2025 these buildings will become operational from the first quarter," said the Minister of Health.
