The labour ministers of Romania and Moldova, Petre Florin Manole and Natalia Plugaru, have agreed to strengthen the partnership in the field of labour and social protection through the National Employment Agency (ANOFM).
The two had a discussion on Monday, via videoconference, about the protection of unaccompanied children and their safe repatriation under a bilateral agreement about the child guarantee and how Moldova can build its own framework of action starting from this model.
"Today's discussion, via videoconference, with Mrs Natalia Plugaru, minister of labour and social protection of the Republic of Moldova, was a dialogue between people who share the same faith: that protecting children, supporting families and respecting those who work are the foundations of a dignified society. We talked about protecting unaccompanied children and their safe repatriation under a bilateral agreement. We discussed the EU Child Guarantee, a European initiative that gives every child the right to education, health and support, and how the Republic of Moldova can build its own framework of action based on this model. We also agreed to strengthen our partnership in the field of labour and social protection, under ANOFM," Petre Florin Manile wrote in a social media post.
He added that he promised his counterpart that Romania "will remain a reliable partner in supporting the implementation of European directives in the field of labour and social protection."
